Experienced University Faculty Member Jamillah Moore

An advocate for social justice in education and the workplace, Dr. Jamillah Moore has decades of experience in California’s university system. By applying her academic expertise in multiple disciplines, Dr. Jamillah Moore teaches students practical knowledge on how to create lasting change.

Dr. Jamillah Moore earned her bachelor’s from California State University, Sacramento in communication studies, and completed her MA in intercultural communication and public policy from the same institution. She went on to earn her EdD (doctor of education) in international and multicultural education from the University of San Francisco (USF).

While earning her EdD, Dr. Jamillah Moore shared her insights with students. From 1996 to 2005, she served as an adjunct professor in communication studies at Sacramento State, and taught in its School of Education from 2003 to 2005. Simultaneously, she spent two years as an adjunct professor in communication studies at Sierra Community College from 1999 to 2001. After leaving Sacramento State, she held multiple positions at the schools of education at California Lutheran University and the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Jamillah Moore began her current role as an adjunct professor at California State University, Stanislaus’ School of Education in 2021.
